Childrens CharitiesApril Child is among the many childrens charities in the world. A charity is an organization meant to provide charitable works to those in need. Charities are non-profit organizations and can either be public or private. The term “charity” also means aiding someone who isn’t related to you, like giving alms or food to a hungry beggar.

Each country is sure to have at least two childrens charities. These organizations aim to help children who have been abused, abandoned, and denied their rights to have a healthy, happy childhood. One famous charity is the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Other famous childrens charities include the Nelson Mandela’s Children Charity and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. One children’s charity was even the basis of a 1947 movie. Variety, the Children’s Charity, was founded by a group of people in the show business industry. More than a year after the Variety Club was founded, they discovered a little baby on the steps of a movie theatre on Christmas Eve.

Paramount Pictures decided to make a movie about the events, and 19 years later, the film Variety Girl was released. It starred Bing Crosby and Bob Hope, and it told the story of two girls who decide to switch identities, thus causing chaos in the Variety Club and in the studio of Paramount Pictures.

Childrens charities aim to provide disadvantaged children the things they need in order for them to have a second chance at a better life. Should you wish to help in your own little way, you can go to the official website of the children’s charity of your choice and follow the steps to make a donation.
